Contest Site FAQs:
Q. What is Regional Protection?
A. Music will be contest protected, on a first come-first serve basis. Bands purchasing our shows must register all contests, upon completion of purchase, for that particular season. This policy will protect each band program purchasing music with exclusivity, based on their performance schedule, providing a one-of-a-kind show at each contest location regardless of state lines. Regional protection expires with the contract each year on December 31st.
Q. Can a band perform the same production at the same contest site but in a different division, region, and/or class?
A. The band program that has the show and the contest locations locked in first will be the sole decision maker to determine if another program can also compete at the same location. This will only be attempted at the request of the director who is trying to get a specific contest site cleared.
Q. Can I change one of my contest sites after I turn my contract in?
A. Yes. However, ALL changes must be cleared by the Bands in Motion staff before attending the new contest location as well as having the updates in writing. This can be achieved by emailing the updated paper work that is supplied to you in the contract to Bands in Motion.
Q. Does the Ultimate Regional Protection just cover a specific area?
A. No. All shows and the music arrangements are protected per each contest site that your band will be performing during the course of the season. The contract expires December 31st of each year with that being the end of the season. Bands in Motion must approve all extensions.
Product FAQs:
Q. How do I obtain high-quality full recordings?
A. Once you submit a Purchase Order, full MP3 recordings will be made available for download. You may burn to disc or reproduce in any other fashion such as copy to MP3 players. These can be shared with drill designers and choreographers. We do ask that you do not share these recordings outside of your band program.
