Taylor Cash
Taylor Cash (b.1987) is a Senior Music Education Major at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. While at JSU, Taylor has had the privilege of studying percussion under Mr. Clint Gillespie. Taylor has performed with various ensembles while at JSU, including the Mallet Ensemble, Chamber Winds, Jacksonville Community Orchestra, and Gadsden Symphony Orchestra. He has also had the honor of performing with guest artists such as She-e Wu and Michael Burritt. Taylor is entering his 5th year as a member of the Marching Southerners Drumline, which is also his 4th year as Tenor Line Section Leader and his 2nd as the Drumline Captain. While at JSU, Taylor marched Tenors with Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps in the Summer of 2006. Taylor has had the privilege of marching under some of the best marching percussion instructors in the country, including: Clint Gillespie, Leif Marwede, Dan Milhalko, Max Mullinex, Jami' Fennell, and Tab Brown to name a few.
Taylor is an active percussion arranger, consultant, and instructor. He has worked with many different groups, including: McIntosh High School, Newnan High School, Paulding County High School, Cleburne County High School, Mt. Zion High School, and many more. Most recently Taylor arranged percussion for a portion of the JSU Marching Southerners 2008 Show.
